A pull out ramp and landing lights on the back of an 18-wheeler distinguish this creative Hess Truck from 2002. The Hess Truck and Airplane features a pushbutton activated motorized bi-plane on the back of an 18-wheeler flatbed tractor-trailer rig. The truck has front and rear lights and the back pilot seat on the bi-plane is labeled “Hess 2002.” Hess produced 1,600,000 of these trucks for the 2002 holiday season.
Please note that batteries not included. Toy carton will show normal shelf wear. The manufacturing process for the 2002 Hess Truck used different types of plastic materials that modify the color of this toy. There are white, and gold-yellow tone colors that are common for this toy truck set. We have also seen toys with both white and gold-yellow tone parts assembled on one unit during the manufacturing process. If your 2002 has any of these color tone versions please note that it has no impact on the toys functionality since they have been tested and guaranteed to work. It is rare to have a toy with both white and gold-yellow tone parts on one assembly. We have collectors who will pay a premium for these units.
