Hess Sells Gas Stations But Toy Trucks Will Roll On!
Big news this past week when Hess Corporation announced that it was selling its gas stations to Marathon Petroleum’s Speedway. You can read details from Hess on this announcement by clicking here.
Right on the heels of the Hess-Marathon announcement, Hess issued another news release stating the the 2014 Hess Truck will be sold through the stations during the 2014 holiday season, then online thereafter. Several media outlets like Fox News carried the story this week as well as CNN Money.
So, what does this mean for Hess Toy Collectors? My take on it is that the Hess Truck rolls on, which is very good news for us collectors. Sure, we will miss the Christmas tradition of going down to the Hess Gas Station and standing at the window to pick up our new Hess Toy Truck. Nonetheless, we will have our Hess! Even it if is online only starting in 2015.
Why are your trucks no longer available at your gas stations?

Since Hess announced it was selling it’s retail gas station business to Marathon Petroleum’s Speedway, this will be the last year to buy Hess Toys at your local Hess Express station.
I am trying to find out if they made 2015 and 2016 Hess Mini trucks
Thank you for your question. The 2014 Mini was the last in the Hess Mini Truck series.
