Hess Trucks Introduced the Hess Training Van

Innovation in the Hess Trucks series continued into the eighties with the introduction of the Hess Training Van.  This was also the decade when the founder’s first truck was commemorated twice.  The first edition was a replica of the original truck Leon Hess used to deliver fuel oil in the thirties, and the second Hess Truck edition as a coin bank.  Other creative Hess Truck editions included other fire truck concepts and in 1988, a Hess Truck and Race Car.
