This truck had a split windshield. \u00a0In 1969 a very limited edition of 10,000 toys were manufactured but not sold to the public. \u00a0These trucks had, &#8220;Amerada Hess&#8221; on the truck. While both years are rare finds, the 1969 toy is extremely rare.<\/p>\n<p>DETAILS: This is a rare find for a 1968 because the carton and all inserts are in excellent shape and the truck is complete with all parts and graphics in excellent shape. This 54 year old specimen if an important part of any serious Hess Truck collection. \u00a0The 1968 Truck collectible carton is in excellent condition, the box shows normal signs of aging but easily rates 10\/10 because the are no tears, deep stains, or major blemishes. There is normal shelf wear on the bottom of the box. All carton corners are is excellent shape and all inserts present. All graphics crisp and no faded colors.<\/p>\n<p>The truck is graded 9\/10 only because the driver&#8217;s side headlight is out. \u00a0A replacement bulb can be added because the cab can be easily popped up. \u00a0All the rest of the truck is in excellent shape. \u00a0All parts are present. Battery compartment is perfectly clean. Hose remains supple and is in excellent shape. Decals all in very good condition with only the bottom part of &#8220;H&#8221; flaked off on the drivers side of the truck. \u00a0No battery card was issued with this model.
