Hess 2004 Sport Utility Vehicle & Motorcycles

Description

Hess commemorated their 40^th anniversary of the Hess Truck with a Hess Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) carrying two motorcycles. The Hess SUV sported chrome accents on the grille, bumper, and running boards. Details included a sunroof, rugged all-terrain tires, and a spoiler on the back.  The tailgate released with the push of a button on the back of the roof, to become a ramp to offload the two motorcycles. The sleek design of the friction-powered motorcycles includes exceptional balance and ‘roll-ability’ and each have working lights that are activated by switches on the handlebars. Hess manufactured 1,600,000 of these toys. This was the first time the Hess Truck series include two motorcycles in their toy set.
